One of the best things about getting married at the University of Glasgow is that you don’t need to go trekking across the city for stunning photos. The venue itself does a lot of the heavy lifting.

Some favourites that photograph beautifully:

• the iconic cloisters (romantic, dramatic, timeless)
• grand archways and stone staircases
• courtyards and walkways for natural, relaxed portraits
• pockets of light and texture that make photos look editorial without trying

And don’t worry – you won’t disappear from your guests for ages. We can get gorgeous images quickly, then get you right back to enjoying your day. If you want to go a little walk we can make our way to Aston Lane for a pint and a few snaps.

Camera-shy? Same. You’re honestly my favourite type of couple.

Most couples I work with start by saying they’re awkward in photos. Totally normal. You’re not models, and your wedding day is not the day you want to feel like you’re performing.

That’s why I keep it calm and easy:

• no stiff poses
• no forced smiles
• no “look lovingly into each other’s eyes for five minutes” behaviour or maybe I will for a laugh haha

I’ll give you simple prompts and gentle direction, then let you be yourselves. Most people finish couple photos saying, “That was actually… fine? Kinda fun?”
Perfect. That’s the goal.

• being a calm presence when nerves kick in

• 10–15 minutes right after the ceremony enjoy some time chatting to guests

If the weather is great, amazing – we’ll use it. If it’s not, the venue still gives you loads of options and we’ll get stunning images either way.
